Women's Tennis Victorious at Lehigh on Sunday, 5-2

BETHLEHEM, Pa. -- The Drexel tennis team picked up a pair of wins Sunday at Lehigh with the women's team downing the Mountain Hawks, 5-2, and the men's team winning, 4-2.
With the wins, Drexel head coach Mehdi Rhazali reached 101 career victories. Both Dragons teams are now 4-1 on the season.
The Dragons stole the momentum with the doubles point in women's play as the Dragons won the Nos. 2 and 3 positions. Ghita Behadi and Kendra Bunch outlasted Leigh Friedman and Sibel Can, 7-5, while Lea Winkler and Honami Yazawa took down Grace Lin and Cassidy Cruz, 6-3, in the third spot for the point.
In singles play, the Dragons used wins from Yazawa, Winkler, Clary Rodriguez Cruz and Anisiya Simpson in singles to take the match. Yazawa downed Can in three sets, 6-4, 3-6, 6-1, followed by Winkler beating Maravich, 6-1, 6-4, in the four spot. To close out the match, Rodriguez Cruz won, 6-4, 6-4, over Cruz, while Simpson took the win from Campisi, 7-5, 0-6, 6-3.
In men's play, the Dragons earned a 4-2 win. The Dragons star took the match with their singles play after dropping the doubles point. Sinan Orhon took a win from Jack Peterson, 7-5, 6-3, followed by Balaji Lakshmanan defeating Colin Nardella, 6-2, 6-4. The Dragons closed out the win with victories from Youssef Lahlou, and Daniil Ginzburg. Lahlou beat Dylan Karchere-Sun, 6-0, 6-4, while Ginzburg came away with the 7-5, 6-4 victory over Graham Lehman for the match win.
Drexel returns to the court Friday night at Binghamton before heading to Colgate on Saturday.
