Former Dragon Scott Rodgers Still Alive for $2 Million TBT Prize

LAS VEGAS, Nev. - Former Drexel standout Scott Rodgers is the lone Dragon remaining in the hunt for the $2 million prize at The Basketball Tournament as he and Team FOE enter play in the Super 16 this week.
Rodgers scored six points in the opening round for Team Foe against DC on Point. In the second round, an 82-75 win against Sideline Cancer, Rodgers scored 10 points and had five rebounds. His squad is now in the Super 16 and will face top seed FCM Untouchables on Thursday night in Brooklyn. The game will air on ESPN2.
The Broad Street Brawlers, which featured three former Drexel basketball players, had their run end in the second round of TBT play this weekend. The Brawlers fell to Team Colorado, a team of mainly former University of Colorado players, 111-95.
Samme Givens and Chris Fouch played for the Brawlers in the tournament. Givens scored 16 points and had nine rebounds against Team Colorado. He was 5-for-8 from the floor. Fouch contributed three points, an assist and a steal. In addition, Jake Lerner served as a coach of the team. The Brawlers previously advanced to the second round by defeating Trained to Go, 108-95. Givens had 17 points in that game.
Former Dragon Phil Goss suited up for City of Gods, which fell in the first round to GaelNation, 88-86. Goss scored 10 points in the loss to the team of former Iona players.
