No. 9 Women's Squash Outlasts No. 13 Virginia Saturday, 6-3

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The No. 9 Drexel women's squash team won its second match in a row Saturday afternoon, beating No. 13 Virginia in Charlottesville, Va., 6-3. The Dragons improved to 4-6 with the victory.
The top of the Dragons' lineup came through with six wins in the top seven spots to secure the win. Anna Hughes won her first match of the year at No. 1 over Emily Woodworth, 11-3, 12-10, 11-8, followed by Hayley Hughes' victory over Carey Danforth at No. 2, 11-6, 9-11, 11-6, 11-6. Ryan Morgan then cruised to a three-game win, 11-4, 11-7, 11-3, while Hannah Blatt took an 11-4, 11-6, 11-9 win over Diane Tyson at No. 4. In the sixth spot, Fiona Power came back from two games down to beat Sarah Doss, 9-11, 8-11, 11-6, 11-6, 12-10, while Apoorva Addepalli outlasted Madeleine Mayhew at No. 7 in five games, 12-10, 10-12, 14-12, 5-11, 11-7.
The Dragons return to action next weekend with a road swing to New England for matches at No. 10 Dartmouth and No. 1 Harvard.
