HANOVER, N.H. – The No. 9 Drexel women's squash team came away with its third straight victory Saturday afternoon at No. 10 Dartmouth, 6-3. The Dragons improve to 5-6 on the year.
Drexel came away with a big win Saturday thanks in large part to strong play from the middle of the lineup. After Anna Hughes dropped a tough five-gamer in the top spot, positions two through six picked her up with victories. Hayley Hughes swept Rebecca Brownell at No. 2, 11-9, 11-7, 11-4, followed by a sweep of Sandra Reiss by Ryan Mogan, 11-6, 11-7, 12-10. Hannah Blatt cruised past Brynn Bank at No. 4, 13-11, 11-6, 13-11, while Ona Prokes outlasted Janel Gaube in five games, 13-11, 10-12, 7-11, 11-7, 14-12. Fiona Power took down Julia Power in three at No. 6, 11-8, 11-9, 11-9, and Stephanie Ryan closed it out with a four-game win over Emma Roberts at No. 8, 8-11, 12-10, 11-5, 11-4.
The Dragons return to action Sunday afternoon at No. 2 Harvard beginning at noon.
