No. 9 Women's Squash Drops 2018 Opener Saturday at No. 4 Stanford, 8-1

STANFORD, Calif. – The No. 9 Drexel women's squash team dropped its 2018 opener to the No. 4 Stanford Cardinal in Stanford, Calif., 8-1. The Dragons drop to 2-6 on the season, while the Cardinal improves to 3-1.
Ryan Morgan came away with the Dragons' lone win on the day. Morgan downed Tara Shannon in four games at No. 3, 11-3, 7-11, 11-8, 11-6. Anna Hughes took a game off Casey Wong at No. 1, but ended up falling in four, 11-6, 7-11, 11-4, 11-9. Ona Prokes fell behind by two games, stole one off Christie Huchro at No. 5, but ultimately dropped the match in four, 12-10, 11-6, 9-11, 11-8.
Drexel returns to action on Sunday, Jan. 14 when it hosts Franklin & Marshall at the Kline & Specter Squash Center at noon.
