No. 12 Men's Squash Wins Hoehn Cup Consolation Final over No. 14 Virginia, 5-4

HARTFORD, Conn. – The No. 12 Drexel men's squash team closed play at the Hoehn Cup Sunday afternoon with a 5-4 win over No. 14 Virginia in the consolation final. The Dragons finished the season with a 9-11 record overall.
Drexel got wins from the top five positions to take the match. Dylan Kachur came up with the match-clinching win for the second day in a row at No. 4.
In the top spot, Bransten Ming took down Mason Blake in three hard-fought games, 12-10, 13-11, 11-9, while Lucas Rousselet downed William Braff at No. 2, 11-9, 11-4, 11-6. Atticus Kelly swept his way to victory in the third spot over Jarett Odrich, 11-2, 13-11, 11-9. At No. 5, Nat Fry beat Charles Woodworth after a marathon third game, 11-7, 11-6, 17-15. With losses at Nos. 6-9, Kachur was again set up in the match-deciding match. He outlasted Grayson Bubrosky with a 12-10, 11-13, 16-13, 11-5 win to take the match overall for the Dragons.
Next up, select Dragons will head to Washington, D.C. on March 2-4 for Individual Championships.
