Men’s Rowing Finishes Up at Head of the Charles Regatta on Sunday

BOSTON – The Drexel University men's rowing team sent two boats to the 55th Head of the Charles Regatta on Sunday. The men's eight placed ninth of 38 boats while the men's four placed 17th of 40 boats.
Racing in the Krall II, the men's eight came in ninth place overall of 38 boats. MIT led the way with a time of 14:25.901 followed by Marist (14:29.120) and Hobart (14:33.359). Fellow Philadelphia schools Temple (14:46.230) and Saint Joseph's (14:55.304) came in sixth and eighth place followed by the Dragons in ninth. In total, 14 of the 38 boats posted a time under 15 minutes.
Racing in the Dan Lyons, the men's four placed 16th of 40 boats on the Charles River. UCLA won the event at 16:19.035 followed by Orange Crest (16:31.182) and UC Santa Barbara (16:31.386). Drexel finished with a time of 17:09.676 for 17th.

The Dragons return to action next weekend for two regattas: Saturday, Oct. 26 at the Head of the Schuylkill and Sunday, Oct. 27 at the Princeton Chase.
