Arthur, Kutch Finish Top-40 in 100 Meter Back at U.S. Open Championships

ATLANTA – Jason Arthur and Alexa Kutch both placed inside the top-40 of the 100 meter back at the U.S. Open Championships at the McAuley Aquatic Center in Atlanta.
Arthur completed his race in 56.95 seconds to finish 34th in a field of 127. Kutch touched the wall at one minute 3.29 seconds to place 38th out of 140 competitors.
In Drexel's first action of the day, Paris Raptis and Joe Short both competed in the 100 fly. Raptis finished in 54.68, good enough for 49th place out of 137 contestants. Short clocked in at 57.18 seconds to finish in 113th.
Competing in the 200 free, Stathis Malamas turned in a 111th-place finish with a time of 1:57.68.
Richardson joined Arthur in the 100 back and finished 104th with a mark of 59.45.
The U.S. Open Championships conclude tomorrow. Kutch and Arthur (200 back), Malamas (100 free) and Raptis (200 fly) feature for the Dragons on Saturday.
