Swimming & Diving Concludes U.S. Open Championships

ATLANTA – Drexel Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving wrapped up competition at the U.S. Open Championships on Saturday. Jason Arthur and Alexa Kutch built on Friday's performances in the 100 meter back to notch top-33 finishes in the 200 back.
Arthur touched the wall in two minutes 4.31 seconds to place 29th out of 101 finishers. Kutch completed her heat in 2:17.41 and finished 33rd.
Also competing on Saturday were Paris Raptis and Stathis Malamas. Raptis clocked in a 2:04.82 in the 200 fly for a 47th-place finish out of 98 swimmers. Malamas tied for 83rd out of 155 in the 100 free with a time of 51.61.
The Dragons take the remainder of December off before diving into Colonial Athletic Association competition with a tri-meet against Delaware and Northeastern on Jan. 11.
