Men’s Swimming and Diving Tops Delaware

NEWARK, Del. – Drexel Men's Swimming and Diving cruised past fellow Colonial Athletic Association member Delaware, 192.5-105.5, on Saturday.
The Dragons (2-1, 1-0 CAA) won more than 10 events and reaped plenty of second- and third-place results as well.
The 200 medley relay team set the pace with an early victory. Jason Arthur, Zachary Valenzuela, Joe Short and T.J. Given combined to turn in a mark of 1:33.86.
Arthur and Valenzuela added individual victories as well. Arthur topped the field in the 200 free (1:42.74) and 200 breast (2:06.49). Valenzuela touched the wall at 58.10 to win the 100 breast and collected gold in the 200 IM (1:56.33).
Spencer Hill swept the backstroke events on Saturday with marks of 52.09 and 1:56.15 in the 100 and 200 back, respectively.
David Kneiss claimed first in the 50 free with a mark of 21.40. John Scully authored the best time in the 100 free – touching the wall in 46.90.
On the boards, Anthony Musciano won the 3-meter dive and took second in the 1-meter. He posted a score of 276.75 from three meters. Will Seely took third in both diving events.
Drexel returns to CAA action next Saturday, when it hosts Towson at noon.
