Ziouti Clinches 4-3 Match Against Georgetown

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Drexel women's tennis earned their fifth consecutive win as Salma Ziouti clinched a 4-3 victory against Georgetown on Saturday afternoon.
Drexel earned the doubles point in the No. 1 and No. 2 spot, which proved to make all the difference as both teams nabbed three singles wins. Ghita Benhadi and Cristina Corte Gonzalez took down their opponent 6-3 in the No. 1 spot while Anisiya Simpson and Salma Ziouti beat their opponents 6-3 in the No. 2 spot.
The match was back and forth until it all came down to the No. 1 spot with things tied up at 3-3. Ziouti, however, was up to the task as she stepped up to take down Sofie Moenster, 7-5, 7-6(1) to clinch the match.
Drexel will return to action on March 2 when it hosts Buffalo at 3 p.m.
