Men’s Rowing Wins Twice Against Columbia, Delaware in New Jersey

LEONIA, N.J.– The Drexel University men's rowing team finished up from Overpeck Park in Leonia, N.J. on Saturday as the Dragons faced Columbia and Delaware.

On a slightly foggy Saturday morning with good racing conditions on flat water, the Dragons won two races against the Lions and Blue Hens.

The varsity four earned a win with a large margin of victory as the Dragons finished in 7:18.41, ahead of Columbia (7:35.23) and Delaware (7:43.40) by a significant edge.

The fourth varsity eight also pulled out a win, in a narrow fashion, with a time of 6:18.03, just a few hundredths of a second in front of Columbia (6:18.84).

The varsity eight finished in third place while the second and third varsity eights both took second at the three-team event.

Drexel's men now prep for the Jefferson Dad Vail Regatta on the Schuylkill River on May 10-11.
