PHILADELPHIA - Justin Best, an alumni of the Drexel University men's rowing program, has been named to the United States U23 National Team. Best is no stranger to this event as he rowed for the team last season as well.
Best and the United States Men's Eight will compete at the Willem Alexander Baan International Regatta Course from July 12-14 for the World Rowing Cup III in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Rowers from more than 40 nations will be competing.
The U23 8+ will then look to repeat as champions at the World Rowing U23 Championships from Sarasota, Fla. from July 24-28 in front of a home crowd.
The World Cup Regatta takes place in Linz-Ottensheim, Austria at the end of August, where boats attempt to qualify for the Olympics.
Best, who recently finished his collegiate eligibility, also previously competed for the United States in 2015 at the World Rowing Junior Championships in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
