No. 6 Women’s Squash Edged by No. 11 Dartmouth, 5-4

HANOVER, N.H. – The sixth-ranked women's squash team was tripped up by No. 11 Dartmouth with a 5-4 road loss on Friday evening. The Dragons (6-5) claimed the top two matches plus the fourth and seventh flights.

Karina Tyma earned a three-game sweep in the top-seeded match. She dispatched Anne Blasberg by an 11-8, 11-6, 11-7 score for her seventh victory of the season.

Alina Bushma needed four games to power past Emma Supattapone in the No. 2 position. The two competitors split the first two games by identical 12-10 scores only for Bushma to pull away with 11-8 and 11-3 wins to improve to 8-1 on the season.

Anna Hughes added her fifth tally of the year with an 11-4, 11-9, 11-8 sweep of Ellie Gozigian in the No. 4 match. The senior moved into a tie with Laura Rahauser for the seventh-most wins in program history (32).

Ona Prokes leveled her season mark at 5-5 with a clean 11-9, 11-5, 11-6 sweep of Brynn Bank in the seventh position.

Drexel faces a short turnaround and a challenging match at top-ranked Harvard tomorrow at noon.
