ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Drexel Women's Tennis lost to Navy by a score of 6-1 on Saturday. Drexel dropped to 8-3. Navy improved to 14-2.
Navy was in control through the whole match, sweeping the doubles point. In third-seeded doubles, Mya Fuentes and Tara Veluvolu went into an extra set with their opponents, but ended up dropping the match 7-6 (3).
In singles, the lone match was won by Salma Ziouti. The junior beat her opponent 6-3, 6-2 in the top-seeded flight. With that win, Ziouti moved to 99 career match victories.
The Dragons will return to Riverwinds Golf & Tennis Club to host Fordham on Saturday, March 7, at 3:30 p.m.
