Women's Squash Edges No. 8 Penn, 5-4

PHILADELPHIA – The Drexel women's squash team completed its latter end of the Saturday doubleheader by traveling to Penn. The Dragons clinched a 5-4 victory against the No. 8 ranked Quakers.
Karina Tyma downed Jamila Tamer in the first position, 11-1, 11-7, 12-10, and Dina Rosli battled back in the seventh spot after dropping the first game to earn an 8-11, 12-10, 11-8, 11-8 victory to give Drexel a quick 2-0 lead. Penn took the fifth and third-seeded spots to even the score at two.
Lydia Robinson broke that tie with a win against Navmi Sharma in five games, 11-9, 9-11, 11-7, 9-11, 11-7. Alina Bushma added onto the lead with a win against Yoshna Singh in the second spot, 11-5, 11-5, 2-11, 11-7. Penn did not go away quietly. The Quakers won the sixth-seeded game, cutting the Drexel lead to just one.
Noa Romero clinched the win for the Dragons by winning three sets in a row against Penn's Amina Tamer.
On Sunday, the Dragons wrap up their opening weekend by hosting No. 17 Dickinson at the Kline and Specter Squash Center. Match time is scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
