Men's Soccer Falls at Hofstra, 3-0

HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. – The Drexel men's soccer team (2-3, 0-1 CAA) dropped its first CAA game of the spring season to the Hofstra Pride (2-2, 1-0 CAA) on Saturday afternoon, 3-0.
The Pride scored their first goal in the 27th minute. Storm Strongin crossed the ball into the 18-yard box to find Matthew Vowinkel ready to take a shot. Vowinkel found the inside right post to give Hofstra its first goal.
Hofstra struck once more thirty seconds into the second half. Ryan Carmichael finished a play set up by Vowinkel and Luca Tausch to give the Pride an insurance goal.
In the 85th minute, Hofstra was awarded a penalty kick to which Vowinkel converted to give Hofstra the 3-0 lead.
Stephen Kopsachilis got the start for the Dragons in goal and made three saves in the effort.
The Dragons are scheduled to travel to Newark, Del. to take on the Delaware Blue Hens under the lights on Sunday, March 21. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m.
