Kropman and O'Malley Advance to Friday at the 2021 Wrestling NCAA Championships

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Drexel wrestling team finished up Thursday's action from the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Mo. on the first day of the 2021 NCAA DI Wrestling Championships. After first-round losses, redshirt senior Parker Kropman and redshirt sophomore Michael O'Malley earned victories in their consolation bouts in the evening to advance to Friday.

Drexel sent six wrestlers to the national championships: 141-pound redshirt senior Julian Flores, 149-pound freshmen Luke Nichter, 157-pound redshirt senior Kropman, 165-pound redshirt junior Evan Barczak, 174-pound redshirt sophomore O'Malley and 194-pound redshirt junior Bryan McLaughlin. After losses in the opening round and the consolations, Nichter, Flores, Barczak and McLaughlin have seen their time come to an end in St. Louis.

Session three commences at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 19 on ESPNU.
