Tessa Brugler Joins Women's Basketball

PHILADELPHIA – Tessa Brugler is the newest member of the Drexel women's basketball team. Brugler, who graduated from Bucknell University, will attend graduate school at Drexel and will suit up for the Dragons in the fall.
Brugler was a First Team All-Patriot League selection during her final season at Bucknell. She was named to the Patriot League All-Defensive Team as well. The forward from Nazareth, Pa., was a captain her senior year, when she averaged 13.2 points and 10 rebounds per game. Brugler had seven double-doubles in 10 games. She was also named to the Patriot League All-Tournament Team after posting double-doubles in each of her team's games in the postseason.
Brugler, who graduated from Bucknell with a degree in education, was a Third Team All-Patriot League pick as a junior. That season she averaged 9.8 points and 5.7 rebounds. She was twice named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
The Dragons are coming off their second Colonial Athletic Association championship. Drexel defeated Delaware in the title game and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the second time in school history.
