PHILADELPHIA- Reid Bowering of men's lacrosse and Karson Harris of women's lacrosse have been named the Drexel University Athletes of the Week, presented by the Drexel University School of Education, for the period of Monday, April 12 to Sunday, April 18.
Bowering scored six goals in Drexel's 19-7 win over Fairfield. In his fifth year as a Dragon, Bowering has eight goals in four games. His contributions have helped the Dragons win five straight games. It is the longest win streak for the program since 2014.
Harris was a driving force for the Dragon's offense in their two conference wins last week. The senior midfielder tallied 11 goals in two appearances, including netting a career-high seven goals against Townson. With her four-goal performance against Hofstra, Harris became only the third Dragon in program history to net 50 goals in a single season and is only three goals away from tying the school record (54).
