Women's Tennis Competes Against Temple and Princeton on Saturday

PHILADELPHIA – The Drexel women's tennis team hosted Princeton and Temple in a hidden-dual format match. The three teams played a total of four doubles and nine singles matches.

For the Dragons in doubles play, Mya Fuentes and Lori Lemongo paired up and defeated Evie Wei and Sena Takebe of Temple, 6-4. In flight number two, Tara Veluvolu and Aida Garcia Mendez defeated their Owl opponents, 6-2.

In singles play, Lemongo defeated her opponent from Princeton, 6-2, 6-1. Similarly, Veluvolu defeated her opponent in two sets, 6-3, 6-1. Isabel Cabrerizo downed her opponent with identical sets to cap off Drexel's day, 6-1, 6-1.

Drexel returns to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association regionals on Friday, October 1. The ITA regionals will be held on Penn's campus and feature the region's greatest tennis players.
