PHILADELPHIA – The Drexel women's soccer team saw one of the best seasons in program history come to a close on Sunday afternoon with a 2-0 setback against Northeastern in the Colonial Athletic Association semifinals.

DU pressured early in the match, recording six shots in the first 20 minutes and held the edge in attempts at halftime before a pair of Huskies' goals in the second stanza marked the only scoring in the contest.

The Dragons finish the year 11-3-5. Among the accomplishments for the 2022 squad are that the 11 wins are the second most in team history in a single season. Delaney Lappin was named CAA Attacking Player of the Year, Annalena O'Reilly was named CAA Midfielder of the Year and head coach Ray Goon was the CAA Co-Coach of the Year. Additionally, Lappin set a single-season school record for goals (12) and points (27).
