PHILADELPHIA – Keishana Washington led all scorers with 28 points, but the Drexel women's basketball team fell in a Sunday matinee, 69-49 to the Saint Joseph's Hawks.

BY THE NUMBERS

For Washington it was her 41st consecutive game in double figures and her fifth game this season with 20 or more. She also led Drexel with four assists.
Grace O'Neill added nine points and had three steals.
Maura Hendrixson topped the Dragons with seven rebounds.
DU committed just eight turnovers in the game.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Dragons struggled to shoot the ball in the early going as a 4-for-15 first quarter saw SJU take a 20-11 lead after 10 minutes.
Starting the second period off better, Drexel connected on four of its first eight shots. The Hawks responded, however, hitting a trio of three-pointers in the frame, on their way to seven first half treys and extending the lead into the half.
DU continued to battle as the game went on, connecting on 47.8 percent of its shots in the second half, but SJU countered by hitting nine threes and 12 free throws to cement the final.
