Women's Tennis Falls to Army, 4-0

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Drexel women's tennis team fell to Army, 4-0 on Saturday afternoon at West Point, N.Y.
Army jumped out to a quick start after taking the doubles point with wins in the second and third-seeded matches. Lorie Lemongo and Mya Fuentes were ahead of their opponents in the top flight before the match was called, 5-1.
In singles play, the Dragons received a good performance from Isabel Cabrerizo, who brought her third-seeded match to the third set after a 6-3 victory in the second frame. Cabrerizo dropped the third set, 6-1.
While Lemongo and Aida Garcia Mendez did not finish their match, they were ahead. Lemongo just needed one more point to secure the victory, 6-4, 5-2, and Aida Garcia Mendez had a lead of 6-4, 6-5.
The Dragons return to the Drexel Tennis Bubble on Sunday, Feb. 20, to host Lehigh. First serve is scheduled for 11 a.m.
