WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The Drexel women's tennis team fell short to the William & Mary Tribe on Tuesday afternoon. The Tribe bounced back after losing the doubles point to defeat the Dragons, 5-2.

The Dragons took the top-seeded match in doubles to start the dual. Lorie Lemongo and Mya Fuentes paired and defeated their opponents, 6-2. After dropping the third-seeded match, Drexel clinched the doubles point after Cristina Corte Gonzalez and Renata Lombera downed their opponents, 6-4.

With Drexel up a point, the Tribe rallied to win the sixth, second and fifth-seeded match. William & Mary grabbed a 3-1 lead. In the third-seeded match, Isabel Cabrerizo downed her opponent in a pair of sets, 6-4, 6-1. With two flights remaining, the Tribe captured the victory in the top-seeded match. Lemongo was going up with the #81 ranked Mila Saric and took her to the third set. Saric took the match and clinched the fourth and final point for the Tribe.

The Dragons travel to Norfolk, Va. to take on the Spartans of Norfolk State University on Wednesday, March 23. First serve is scheduled for noon.
