PHILADELPHIA - The Drexel basketball community is mourning the loss of Bob Ferguson. A former student-athlete and adjunct professor at the school, Ferguson passed away on March 30, 2022. He was the first Black basketball player ever to play at Drexel when he stepped on to the court for the first time in 1963.

His career rebounding average of 10.53 is sixth all-time at Drexel. Ferguson also scored 784 points in his career and averaged more than 10 points per game in each of his three seasons.
"We were saddened to hear of the passing of Bob Ferguson," said Drexel Head Coach Zach Spiker. "Mr. Ferguson has been a mainstay around the DAC and our program for the last six years.
