Chipman Lifts Drexel to Victory Over Saint Francis

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Liz Chipman scored the go-ahead goal in the 49th minute, lifting Drexel to a 3-2 victory over Saint Francis (PA) on Friday evening at Buckley Field.

- DU had three different goal scorers in the contest as Chipman, Taylor Mason and Cailey Lever found the back of the cage.
- Stephanie Oleykowski and Avery Powell each had an assist on the game-winning goal, which came on a penalty corner.
- Dragons earned seven penalty corners overall.
- Drexel defense held strong in the fourth quarter denying SFU a shot, allowing DU to maintain its lead.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Mason scored on a penalty corner off a pass from Chipman in the 17th minute, giving Drexel a 1-0 lead.
- Lever found the back of the cage on an assist from Eline Di Leva, to put DU ahead 2-1 early in the third quarter.
- After a Red Flash goal tied the contest, Chipman scored her second goal of the season, giving Dragons a 3-2 lead and eventual victory.
