Drexel Field Hockey Welcomes Cassidy Strittmatter As An Assistant Coach

PHILADELPHIA – Drexel Head Field Hockey Coach Denise Zelenak has announced the addition of Cassidy Strittmatter to the coaching staff.
Strittmatter most recently served as a spring intern with the James Madison University field hockey program in 2025. In that role, she supported practice preparation, coached student-athletes multiple times per week, and assisted with administrative duties, including event planning and community engagement.
A former student-athlete at James Madison from 2021-24, Strittmatter was a two-time team captain and earned NFHCA All-South Region Second Team honors in 2024. She was also named All-MAC First Team and to the All-MAC Tournament Team in 2024. In addition to her athletic accomplishments, she served as Co-President of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, coordinating major athletic events and acting as a liaison between student-athletes, coaches, and administrators.
She also brings high school and club coaching experience. Strittmatter served as an assistant coach at Seneca High School during the 2025 season, where she assisted with practice planning and competitions for a top-10 program in New Jersey. She developed individualized training plans and worked closely with position groups, including goalkeepers, while helping foster a competitive team environment.
In addition, Strittmatter has been a seasonal coach with Uprise Field Hockey Club since 2019, organizing training sessions for athletes ages 10-16 with a focus on skill development and teamwork.
Strittmatter graduated from James Madison University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing with a concentration in Digital Marketing and was a member of the Honors College.
