Women's Tennis Wraps Up Play at Villanova Invitational

VILLANOVA, Pa. – The Drexel women's tennis team wrapped up its first weekend of the fall invitational schedule. The Dragons competed against Delaware on the final day of the Vilannova Invitational.

The Dragons performed well in doubles play against their conference rival, winning two of three matches. Lorie Lemongo and Mya Fuentes took their match into extra sets and eventually defeated the Blue Hens, 7-6 (2). Renata Lombera and Cristina Corte Gonzalez downed their opponents 6-4.

In singles Play, Lemongo continued her dominance by defeating her opponent, 6-4, 6-2.

Drexel returns to the court on Friday, September 23 when it partakes in the prestigious Cissie Leary Invitational, hosted by Penn.
