Men's Squash Downs #25 Navy, 9-0

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The No. 7 Drexel men's squash team started the 2023 portion of its schedule on a high note on Friday night, defeating the Navy Midshipmen 9-0.
Shaan Dalal earned the first point of the night in the seventh spot. The fifth year defeated his opponent 11-3, 11-6, 11-2. José López secured the second point for the Dragons after blanking his opponent 11-3, 11-4, 11-8.
Matias Knudsen grabbed the team's third point in the top spot of the ladder with an 11-6, 14-12, 11-5 victory. Noel Heaton earned a hard-fought win in the sixth spot after dropping the third game. The final score of the fifth year's match was 11-6, 11-7, 8-11, 11-7.
Shomari Wiltshire clinched the match-clinching point in the eighth spot with a three-game victory, 11-2, 11-0, 11-2. Yuri Pelbart downed his opponent in the fourth spot 12-10, 11-3, 11-4, while Filip Krueger defeated his opponent in the No. 5 spot, 12-10, 11-3, 11-4. To wrap the match, Nicolas Serna earned a three-game victory in the third spot, 11-4, 11-6, 11-7.
The Dragons quickly turn around and travel to Charlottesville, Va., to face the 12th-ranked Rochester at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
