Men's Rowing Opens Season With Quality Performance at Navy Day Regatta

PHILADELPHIA - The Drexel men's rowing team earned a top-five placement in both of its races as DU opened its season at the Navy Day Regatta on the Schuylkill River on Sunday.
The Varsity 8+ rowed Lois Krall III to a fifth place finish out of 30 boats as the group of Alex Dragovits (coxswain), Kosta Petkovic (stroke), Nikola Loncar, Nemanja Sajatovic, Zoran Bosnic, James Schmidt, Nick Foley, Josh Diggons and Andrew Manns (bow) finished the course in 12:20.610.
The "B" and "C" boats also finished in the top half of the field.
In the JV8+, the Dragons posted a second place time out of 11 boats as Megan Hua (coxswain), Thomas Gola (stroke), Milo Epstein, Malcolm Grauley, Daniel Yurcisin, Gavin Roe, Nick Perks, Matthew Kennedy and Max Wilson (bow) rowed Joseph Greipp to a time of 13:17.990.
Drexel returns to action next Saturday when it competes at the Head of the Charles Regatta in Boston, Mass.
