PHILADELPHIA – The No. 5 Drexel University women's squash team got a trio of wins in the lower half of the ladder, but the Dragons were upended by No. 8 Penn, 6-3 on Sunday afternoon
Drexel earned the first point of the day as in the eighth position, Sanya Vats took an 11-5, 17-15, 12-10 win against Emma Wolf. After Penn won the next two points, Moa Bonnemark knotted the match with a 13-11, 11-6, 12-10 victory at number seven.
Also earning a point on the day was Lydia Robinson who took the last match of the afternoon with a reverse sweep in the sixth spot, winning 5-11, 8-11, 11-4, 13-11, 11-8.
DU returns to action with a key Mid-Atlantic Squash Conference matchup against No. 6 Virginia on Sunday, November 19. Opening serve from the Klein & Specter Squash Center is slated for 2:30 p.m.
