
No. 6 Men's Squash Downs No. 8 Virginia with a Pair of Sweeps

PHILADELPHIA – The No. 6 Drexel men's squash team took down No. 8 Virginia 7-2 on Sunday afternoon.
Fritiof Jacobsson earned the first victory of the day in the fourth spot, defeating his opponent 11-2, 11-3, 11-0. Nico Serna secured a win for the Dragons in the first spot after blanking his opponent 11-9, 11-9, 12-10.
José López followed this up by grabbing the win in the fifth spot with an 11-6, 7-11, 11-5, 11-3 victory. Yuri Pelbart secured the win in the sixth spot. The final score of the sophomore's match was 11-7, 6-11, 11-7,11-5.
Guido Lindner won 3-1 in the seventh spot with an 11-4, 6-11, 11-4, 11-7 victory. Dima Dumitru was another Dragon to earn a 3-1 win in his matchup as he won, 6-11, 11-1, 11-5, 11-9 in the eighth spot. Youssef Bastawy went the distance to earn himself a victory in the third spot as he won with a score of 11-9, 6-11, 11-9, 10-12, 11-4.
The Dragons return to action on Saturday, December 2 when they travel up to New Haven, Connecticut to take on No. 3 Yale. First serve is scheduled for 12:00 p.m.
