Jack Janda Named EIWA Wrestler of the Week

PHILADELPHIA - Jack Janda of Drexel Wrestling was named the Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association Wrestler of the Week. The redshirt-sophomore defeated No. 18 Sal Perrine of Ohio at 174lbs in Saturday's dual. Janda held Perrine to only a pair of escape points and was able to hold him off in the final period for the 5-2 victory. He earned the go-ahead points with a takedown late in the second period. This is his first honor from the EIWA and is the first Drexel wrestler to be recognized this season. The Haddon Township, N.J. native is 8-3 this season and was victorious in the Battle at The Citadel in November.
