No. 6 Men's Squash falls to No. 7 Columbia in Close Finish

NEW YORK – Despite a close finish, the No. 6 men's squash team were upended by the No. 7 Columbia Lions on the road Sunday afternoon. With the win, the Lions improved their record to 3-0 while the Dragons fell to 4-4.

Nico Serna started things off for the Dragons at the top of the ladder, defeating Franklyn Smith, 11-8, 11-9, 12-10. José López earned the victory in the fourth spot, going the distance against Shaurya Bawa 11-9, 11-3, 4-11, 8-11, 11-7.

Yuri Pelbart secured the win in the fifth spot, downing Thomas Soltanian 11-4, 6-11, 11-8, 11-7. Lastly in the sixth spot, Guido Lindner defeated Ryan Chen 13-15, 11-8, 11-4, 11-8.

The Dragons are now off until the new year when they travel to Ithaca, N.Y. to take on Cornell on Saturday, January 13. Action is slated to start at 11:00 a.m.
