No. 7 Men's Squash Upended by No.9 Cornell 5-4

ITHACA, N.Y. – Despite a close finish, the No. 6 men's squash team was upended by the No. 9 Cornell Big Red on the road Saturday. With the win, the Big Red stay undefeated, improving their record to 6-0 while the Dragons fell to 4-4.

Youseff Bastawy started things off for the Dragons in the two spot, defeating Aaron Lian, 12-10, 11-13, 11-5, 11-7. In the next spot, Yuri Pelbart earned the victory against Shaurya Bawa 11-8, 5-11, 11-6, 11-8.

Guido Lindner secured the win in the six spot, downing Shreemannn Raghavan 11-6, 11-4, 7-11, 14-12. Lastly in the seven spot, Dairen Benn defeated Morgan Huberman 11-9, 11-8, 11-9.

Up next, the Dragons will be back at the Daskalakis Athletic Center to take on Navy on Wednesday, January 24. Action is slated to start at 5:30 p.m.
