PHILADELPHIA – The No. 4 Drexel women's squash team showed its depth and mettle, downing the No. 5 Cornell Big Red 7-2 on Senior Night on Friday.
Prior to the match, the Dragons thanked Alina Bushma, Katerina Cummings, Ciara Richards, Hatti Specter and Lara Varma for their contributions to the program in their careers.
Drexel quickly went up 2-0 as Moa Bonnemark and Margot Prow both recorded sweeps at numbers seven and four, respectively. Cornell came back, winning the next two points to even the match at 2-2.
Those would be the last contests DU would surrender as Lydia Robinson took an 11-6, 14-12, 11-7 win against Ania LaDow at number eight followed by an 11-7, 11-5, 11-6 victory from Richards in the ninth position. The Dragons clinched the match as Noa Romero won in the third spot.

The Dragons are back in action on Sunday when they travel to No. 2 Harvard for an afternoon contest. Opening serve from Cambridge, Mass. is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
