BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Drexel women's tennis team defeated the Lehigh Mountain Hawks, 5-2, on Saturday. The Dragons improve to 4-3 while the Mountain Hawks fall to 1-3.

The Dragons opened the match winning the top-seeded and second-seeded matches. Renata Lombera and Lorie Lemongo paired up and competed in the top flight, defeating their opponents, 6-2. Isabel Cabrerizo and Cristina Corte Gonzalez continued their winning way, downing their counterparts, 6-3.

In singles play, Lemongo downed her opponent in the first-seeded match, 6-0, 6-4. Lombera earned a victory in the second-seeded match, 6-3, 6-4. Cabrerizo and Aida Garcia Mendez rounded out the Drexel victories. Cabrerizo bounced back after dropping the first set, 1-6, to win the match, 6-0, 6-2. Garcia Mendez downed her opponent, 7-5, 6-4.

The Dragons return to action on Saturday, February 18 at 6:30 p.m. The Dragons will travel to Fairfield, Conn. to play the Stags.
