PHILADELPHIA – The Drexel women's basketball team rallied from a halftime deficit, but was upended by the Northeastern Huskies, 71-64 on Friday night.

BY THE NUMBERS

Keishana Washington netted 33 in the game. She is now averaging 31.0 points per game in the month of February. It was also her 10th game this season with 30 or more.
Kylie Lavelle scored 12 in the game, all of them coming in the second half.
Hetta Saatman scored seven with a team-high five rebounds.
Maura Hendrixson posted six assists.

HOW IT HAPPENED

A quick start for the Dragons saw DU net the first four points of the game. From there, the Huskies caught fire, connecting on seven consecutive field goals, opening an 18-10 lead. Drexel chipped into the lead from there, scoring eight of the final 12 points in the period, cutting the Northeastern lead to 22-18 after 10 minutes.
The hot stretch continued into the new quarter with DU scoring the first seven points to retake the lead. NU found its shooting stroke again as the Huskies closed the half well and took a 32-27 lead into the break.
Opening the third, the Dragons came to life, scoring 17 of the first 22 points on their way to a 10-for-16 performance from the floor in the frame. Lavelle led the way with 11 points, connecting on all five of her shots as Drexel took an edge into the final period.
In a game where nothing came easy, Northeastern whittled the lead away just past the midway point of the fourth quarter, tying the game at 60-60. The Dragons broke the deadlock, but the Huskies followed with the next eight points to pull away.
