Men's Swimming and Diving breaks a Program Record on Day One of the CAA Championships

HAMPTON, Va. - The Drexel men's swimming and diving team completed day one of the CAA Championships on Wednesday afternoon.

The Dragons set a new program record in the 200 medley relay as Alasdair Bell, Kacper Karnik, Sebastian Smith and John Scully teamed up to place fourth with a time of 1:26.29. The previous record was set at last year's CAA Championships.

The Dragons were also able to take home a bronze in the 800 free relay where Alessio Gianni, Jakub Kwasny, Kevin Spear and Andrea Casini worked together to put up a time of 6:33.96.

The 500 free, 200 IM, 50 free and 400 medley relay will be featured in day two of the CAA Championships on Thursday evening. The finals are slated to begin at 6 p.m. from Hampton, Va.

Wednesday: 200 medley relay, 800 freestyle relay, Men's one meter dive

Thursday: 500 free, 200 IM, 50 free, Women's 3-meter dive, 400 medley relay

Friday: 100 fly, 400 IM, 200 free, 100 breast, 100 back, Men's 3-meter dive, 200 free relay

Saturday: 1650 free, 200 back, 100 free, 200 breast, 200 fly, Women's 1-meter dive, 400 freestyle relay
