Men's Swimming and Diving breaks another Program Record on Day Two of the CAA Championships

HAMPTON, Va. - The Drexel men's swimming and diving team completed day two of the CAA Championships on Thursday evening.

The Dragons set a new program record in the 400 medley relay as Alessio Gianni, Kacper Karnik, Sebastian Smith and Jakub Kwasny combined to finish fourth with a time of 3:11.08. The previous record was set back in 2018.

Another notable finish includes Andrea Casini and Alessio Gianni who placed fourth and fifth in the 500 free with times of 4:25.28 and 4:27.04 respectively.

The 100 fly, 400 IM, 200 free, 100 breast, 100 back, Men's 3-meter dive and 200 free relay will be featured in day three of the CAA Championships on Friday evening. The finals are slated to begin at 6 p.m. from Hampton, Va.

Wednesday: 200 medley relay, 800 freestyle relay, Men's one meter dive

Thursday: 500 free, 200 IM, 50 free, Women's 3-meter dive, 400 medley relay

Friday: 100 fly, 400 IM, 200 free, 100 breast, 100 back, Men's 3-meter dive, 200 free relay

Saturday: 1650 free, 200 back, 100 free, 200 breast, 200 fly, Women's 1-meter dive, 400 freestyle relay
