
Dragons Rally Past No. 3 Princeton at Potter Cup

HARTFORD, Conn. – A reverse sweep by Gautam Nagpal at number nine propelled the Drexel men's squash team to a 5-4 victory against Princeton at the Potter Cup on Saturday afternoon.
The win was the first for the Dragons against the Tigers since February 8, 2017 and guarantees Drexel a chance for its best ever finish at the event.
With the match tied 4-4, Nagpal was down 0-2 to Federico Sosa before rallying to win the third and fourth games by identical 11-8 scores. He went up 10-9 in the deciding game before Sosa won two points in a row to take an 11-10 lead. Nagpal had the final say, however, winning the final three points to claim victory for the Dragons.
Things started well for DU as Matias Knudsen and Noal Heaton won in the first and seventh positions, respectively. Knudsen swept Daelum Mawji 11-8, 11-1, 11-1 with Heaton taking an 11-4, 12-10, 11-6 victory against Zain Ahmed as the Dragons went up 2-0.
The Tigers followed with wins at numbers five, two and eight to take a 3-2 lead before Yuri Pelbart and Jose Lopez secured wins for Drexel. Princeton tied the match in the sixth position, setting up Nagpal's heroics.
