Men's Rowing Takes Multiple Races Against La Salle

PHILADELPHIA – The Drexel men's rowing team returned to home waters, winning two of three races against La Salle on Saturday morning.
The Dragons Varsity 8+, competing in Lois Krall III, comprised of Sam DeSilva (coxswain), Josh Diggons (stroke), Nikola Loncar, Nemanja Sajatovic, Damian Lis, Jake Miller, Andrew Manns, Jack Anderson and Roman Smigiel (bow) won its race in a time of 5:56.9, topping the Explorers by more than two seconds.
Drexel also took the top two spots in the Novice 4+. The "A" boat of Gustavo Lezama (coxswain), Sam Duncan (stroke), Justin Getty, Ben Werber and Gavin Roe (bow) and rowing in Go Roe crossed the line in 7:01.5 with the "B" boat competing in Bella Santorum and made up of Charlotte Bentrim (coxswain), George Karacsonyi (stroke), Andrei Malis, Jono Andersson and Aidan Ionescu (bow) finishing in 7:19.1.
DU returns to action on Saturday, March 25 when it makes the trip to New Jersey for the Princeton Invite.
