Varsity 8+ Leads Men's Rowing at Princeton

PRINCETON, N.J. - The No. 16 Drexel men's rowing team took on multiple top-25 opponents on Saturday morning with the varsity 8+ turning in the best result at the Princeton Invite.
The V8+ of Sam DeSilva (coxswain), Josh Diggons (stroke), Andrei Malis, Jake Miller, Damian Lis, John Little, Andrew Manns, Jack Anderson and Roman Smigiel (bow) turned in a second place finish in Lois Krall III in a time of 6:00.2, besting No. 20 Temple and No. 22 Georgetown.
The second varsity 8+, rowing in Lois Krall II and comprised of Billy Ernst (coxswain), Kosta Petkovic (stroke), Nikola Loncar, Alex Manolarakis, Zach Key, Nemanja Sajatovic, Nick Foley, Lake Watson and Sam Valigorsky (bow) placed third in a crowded field as second, third and fourth place all finished within 3.4 seconds of each other.
Drexel is off until April 9 when it competes in the Occoquan Invitational in Virginia.
