Women's Tennis Falls to NJIT, 4-3

NEWARK, N.J. – The Drexel women's tennis team was defeated by the NJIT Highlanders, 4-3, on Saturday afternoon.
The Highlanders took the doubles point after winning two of the three doubles points. Lorie Lemongo and Renata Lombera teamed in the No. 1 doubles match, 6-3.
In singles play, Lemongo defeated her opponent in the top-seeded match, 6-3, 2-6, 6-4. In the fourth-seeded match, Cristina Corte Gonzalez, 6-7, 6-3, 6-4. The Dragons picked up their third point in the sixth-seeded match with a withdrawal from NJIT.
The Dragons return home on Wednesday, March 8 to host cross-city rivals, Temple at noon.
