Men's Tennis Defeats Monmouth, 6-1

PHILADELPHIA – The Drexel men's tennis team defeated the Monmouth Hawks on Saturday, 6-1. With the win, Head Coach Mehdi Rhazali notched his 200th career victory as a head coach.
Prior to the match, Drexel celebrated the effort, dedication and achievements of its graduating players. Hugo Brungs, Daniel Dudockin, Djordje Janackovic, Juan Manuel Sanchez, Matvey Radionov and Gustav Wogen were all acknowledged.
Drexel won the doubles point after the team of Alan Jesudason and Alex De Sousa downed their opponents in the top-seeded match, 6-1. In the No. 3 match, Radionov and Janackovic earned a 6-1 victory over their opponents.
In singles play, Alan Jesudason defeated his opponent with a pair of 6-4 sets. In the No. 2 match, Dudockin earned a 6-3, 4-6, 6-1 victory. The third-seeded singles match also ended in the Dragons' favor. De Sousa downed his opponent, 6-4, 6-7 (1), 6-2.
Egor Kirakosov earned a victory in the fourth-seeded singles match with a 6-4, 6-2 score. Lastly, Radionov downed his opponent in the No. 5 match, 6-1, 3-6, 7-5.
Drexel looks ahead to the CAA Tournament next weekend in Williamsburg, Va. The four day tournament will begin on Thursday, April 27 and will conclude on Sunday, April 30.
