Women's Soccer Announces 2023 Schedule

PHILADELPHIA – The Drexel women's soccer team unveiled its 2023 schedule on Wednesday afternoon. The 18-game slate includes three matches against teams from last year's NCAA tournament as well as a full CAA docket.
The Dragons look to defend Vidas Field early with three of the first four contests at home, beginning with Fordham on Thursday, August 17. After a trip across the commonwealth to face Pitt on Aug. 20, DU hosts UMBC on the 24th before West Philly rival Saint Joseph's comes to Vidas on Aug. 27.
September begins with four of five games on the road, starting with matches at Quinnipiac and UMass Lowell on the first and third. CAA play begins with a home game on Sept. 7 against William & Mary before a trip to Northeastern (Sept. 10) and Hofstra (Sept. 14). Drexel comes back to Vidas Field to face Delaware on Sept. 17, followed by the short drive to Towson on Sept. 24. The month closes and October begins with back-to-back home games against Charleston (Sept. 28) and Monmouth (Oct. 1).
After the home game against the Hawks, a southern trip is on the schedule with games at Campbell (Oct. 5) and Elon (Oct. 8). The road trip wraps with a trip to Long Island to face Stony Brook on Oct. 12. DU closes the regular season at home taking on UNCW and Hampton on Oct. 19 and 22, respectively.
Drexel finished last season 11-3-5 overall, finished second in the CAA and advanced to the semifinals of the conference tournament.
