RICHMOND, Va. (Sept. 20, 2023) – The CAA is partnering with popular college basketball media network The Field of 68 for a special men's and women's basketball show on Thursday, October 19 as part of the conference's Media Day activities.
The CAA Basketball Media Day show will feature live interviews with the men's and women's head coaches at all 14 CAA schools. There will also be interviews with the men's and women's basketball Preseason Players of the Year and members of the preseason all-conference teams.
"The CAA is thrilled to announce a first of its kind partnership with the Field of 68 to produce both the men's and women's basketball media days," CAA Commissioner Joe D'Antonio said. "The Field of 68, behind the leadership of Rob Dauster and Jeff Goodman, has become the preeminent voice of college basketball. The CAA partnering with the Field of 68 to showcase its men's and women's basketball coaches and student-athletes was an easy decision. As the CAA looks towards future media day initiatives, it looks forward to growing its partnership with the Field of 68."
The Field of 68 Media Network was founded in 2020 by longtime college basketball reporters Jeff Goodman and Rob Dauster. The duo has built an expansive series of shows and podcasts that are hosted by some of the top reporters and analysts in college basketball. The Field of 68's After Dark show on YouTube has become must watch viewing for fans during the college basketball season and includes interviews with coaches and student-athletes from across the country. In addition to its shows, the Field of 68 produces a daily newsletter with the latest information from the world of college basketball and The Almanac, a comprehensive season preview.
"We are thrilled to help shine a spotlight on one of the best and most exciting leagues in college basketball," Dauster said. "One of the goals of the Field of 68 is to cover every level of college basketball, and it is an honor to partner with the CAA for a media day show. We look forward to continuing a partnership with the league."
The men's media day show begins at 9 a.m. with Goodman, Dauster and national college basketball broadcaster John Fanta conducting interviews. The women's basketball media day show gets underway at Noon with Fanta and CAA women's basketball insider Monika Moore handling the interviews.
