Drexel Secures First CAA Victory over Towson

BY THE NUMBERS
- The Dragons earned their 30th victory against Towson.
- Sanabria obtained her first career tally.
- DU's defense held Towson to six shots in the contest.
- Foster recorded her second straight game with more than three points.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- After a scoreless opening frame, Drexel earned their second penalty corner in the 18th minute. The Towson goalkeeper turned away two shots before Sanabria lifted the ball to earn the first tally of the game.
- The Tigers capitalized on their own penalty opportunity in the closing minutes of the half to tie the contest.
- Drexel came out firing in the third quarter as Di Leva scored her second goal of the season on an assist from Sanabria. The frame ended with a 2-1 advantage for DU.
- In the 53rd minute, Delfi Cabral found the back of the cage with help from Tina Rawa and Di Leva. The Drexel lead was extended to two goals with under seven minutes left of regulation.
- The final two minutes saw Foster and Van Hellemont both score goals and provide assists for each other's tallies.
