Haag would push the ball to Lauren Kushma, who slammed the ball into the net to give Drexel an early lead.

The Pride would follow the Dragons with a goal of their own just one minute later off a counterattack. The Pride's forward Josie Mae Gruendel dribbled into the circle before finding the back of the net, bringing the score to 1-1. The Dragons would retake the lead less than 30 seconds later as Pili Lemoine would receive a pass from Valentine Van Hellemont before going up high to put the ball past the goalie, putting the Dragons up 2-1.

Drexel would keep scoring up in the second quarter as Fleur Hamers would get the ball in the circle before dribbling to the side of the keeper and firing a strike towards the net, extending the sophomores' lead as the top goal scorer in the CAA with 18.

Hamers would find the back of the net again for her 19^th goal of the year. The Dragons would earn a penalty corner as Van Hellemont and Phebe Herlocher would assist as Hamers would deflect the ball past the keeper.

Eight minutes into the fourth quarter, Lemoine would double up on goals, stealing the ball from a William and Mary defender before dribbling through the circle and backhanding the ball past to give the Dragons a four-goal lead.
